Scrum Master

We are looking for a skilled, and motivated Scrum Master/Team Coach in Rotterdam with energy, spirit to serve 2 Teams in the Cloud Transformation Area of Managed DevOps Platform.

Our team composition is international, which gives you the opportunity to work with people from other cultures and languages. You will have plenty of room and creative freedom to get involved.

As a Servant Leader, you are responsible for the application of agile methodology and enable self-organization and potential development in the teams entrusted to you. Through the associated continuous improvement process, you will help your teams to achieve top performance.
You will work in Swisscom's future-oriented and business-critical cloud environment.
As a Lean Agile Leader, you ensure the flow of information between the Product Owners and the teams. You will also take on transformation and further development tasks for the entire organization in collaboration with our Agile Coaches and the Scrum Master Community.

As Scrum Master/Team Coach (ScM/TC) of 2 Teams you lead an international, geographically (Netherlands, Latvia & Switzerland [BE&ZH]) distributed teams. Your Teams consists of internal employees located in the Netherlands & Switzerland, and external employees in Latvia.

The TEAMS act as enablers, leveraging specialized expertise to enhance cloud networking and security processes, facilitating transformative cloud migrations and solution delivery in collaboration with key stakeholders.


What impact will you have? 

  • Facilitate Agile Practices: Guide and support Scrum teams in implementing agile methodologies to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality products & services.

  • Empower Teams: Encourage a collaborative environment through coaching and leadership, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions and exceed goals.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives, progress, and challenges.

  • Remove Impediments: Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder team performance, promoting a seamless workflow.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives and encourage exploration of new processes to drive team growth and innovation.

  • Digital Integration: Promote the use of digital tools and platforms to streamline team workflows and communication.

Job requirements

  • In-depth Agile and Lean know-how (for example Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) 

  • Skills in facilitation, mentoring and coaching, as well as team development and conflict management 

  • Strong servant leadership attitude 

  • Results-Oriented Approach, demonstrating a strong ability to drive projects to completion and achieve goals effectively, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.

  • Proactive, pragmatic problem-solving skills and decision-making ability 

  • Sense of entrepreneurial action, as well as ability to think in a networked way "cross-team alignment" 

  • Excellent communication and cooperation skills

  • Outstanding listening skills combined with empathy and sensitivity to team dynamics, ensuring open and constructive dialogue that fosters collaboration and trust.

  • Experience in agile software development 

  • Knowledge in Cloud Infrastructure (nice to have)

  • Knowledge in Quality Assurance  (nice to have)

  • Degree (ETH/Uni/UAS/technical college/EFZ) in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field 

  • Provide Aid but no micro-management or telling what to do is expected

  • You are not afraid to take on responsibility

  • You are a team player, and you like sharing your knowledge

  • You create energy and clarity by effectively communicating, and collaborating within the team and with external stakeholders

  • You are an enthusiastic and flexible self-starter with a desire to learn

  • You have good English skills

Allowances

Contract terms

  • To begin with you will receive a fixed term contract (one year), after 6 months of your employment with us, after a feedback meeting with the team, there is a possibility of extending the contract

  • The salary ranges mentioned in our Job Descriptions are base annual gross salaries including the 8% holiday allowance
