HR Business Partner

Since 2019, we have been building up the coolest DevOps Center with 400+ employees at the top of the World Trade Center in the heart of Rotterdam. The Local Service Team is responsible to support our employees with our different departments: Office management, Community, Marketing and Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT Service management, Compliancy and HR.

Within the Local Service Team, we are looking for a passionate HR professional, who has a lean way of working mindset and appreciate the team collaboration.


The role 

As HR Business Partner for the DevOps Center you are responsible for tactical HR and (hands-on) operational HR duties. Key objective is managing performance and retaining the best employees within the People first organization mindset.

Meanwhile driving HR topics to enrich existing policies, for example: diversity, learning & development, health & safetly, compensation & benefits, and many more.

You will shape local and overreaching HR processes with other DevOps Center and Swisscom Switzerland, matching: budget, growth, local law and compliance.


Job requirements


What you will do  

  • Translate business goals and strategy into optimal people processes that are scalable, pragmatic, and adaptable to unique and changing business needs;
  • Be the single point of contact. Influence change initiatives, develop management plans, manage stakeholders and most of all our employees;
  • Recommend new approaches and methods to drive continuous improvements in business objectives, productivity, and HR development within the company;
  • Effectively coach at all levels of the organisation and demonstrate success in driving career retention, absence, and rewards programs;
  • Providing service oriented HR operational activities with the objective to make this lean as possible;
  • Drive HR digitalization projects together within local service team;
  • Draft policies to ensure harmonious treatment of all employees and address Legal & labour law challenges including internal and external audits;
  • Overseeing budgeting and payroll activities, compliance to local labour laws, implementing changes to employment conditions or staff manual;
  • Steering and coaching HR team members and external HR service provider.

  Who will be a great fit

  • Excellent level of proficiency in English, Dutch nice to have;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as HR Business partner;
  • Living in the Netherlands; we do not provide relocation for this role;
  • Experience managing stakeholders in a matrix organistion;
  • Have good written and verbal communication, including high-quality document preparation and presentation skills;
  • Experience in HR / Data analytics and making decision based on data points
  • Excellent tactical planning and operational execution skills, the ability to integrate and align strategy, people, and activities across functions, processes, teams and company locations.
  • Knowledge of Dutch labour law including employment regulations.
