Data, AI & Cloud Engineer
Are you ready to contribute to building the real-time Swisscom’s knowledge graph and integrate it into our AI and agentic space setup?
Join us in shaping the future of operations and monitoring. You'll leverage our next-generation streaming platform for real-time, high-performance data processing on-premises and in the cloud while developing advanced AI capabilities on top of it.
What will you do?
Using your software, AI, and systems engineering skills, you will help us develop Monty, the Swisscom data correlation engine, which is one of the flagship products of our Data, Analytics, and AI division. Your responsibilities will include:
Develop the AI capabilities on top of our knowledge graph and integrate them in an agentic setup.
Developing and maintaining our data exposure components to provide conformed data according to industry standards.
Developing tooling and observability features for our data streaming hybrid platform.
Collaborating with business analysts to implement data ingestion pipelines.
The work is split between development, operations and AI engineering.
Job requirements
Experience with real-time, event-driven, streaming application development (e.g., Kafka, Flink)
Interest and knowledge in AI engineering (e.g. LLM, MCP, RAG, Agents)
Backend development in Java (e.g., Spring Boot, OpenAPI, graphQL)
DevOps know-how (CI/CD, Kubernetes, Gitlab, monitoring tools)
Getting things done attitude
Problem solver mindset
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within the team and with external stakeholders
Willingness to join an agile team
Excellent English
Nice to have:
Good understanding of telecommunication networks and IT systems
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS)

Allowances

Contract terms
To begin with you will receive a fixed term contract (one year), after 6 months of your employment with us, after a feedback meeting with the team, there is a possibility of extending the contract
The salary ranges mentioned in our Job Descriptions are base annual gross salaries including the 8% holiday allowance
