HR Generalist at Swisscom

Swisscom is a telecommunications provider in Switzerland. Since 2019 we have established a DevOps Center in the Center of Rotterdam to complete our mission in order to become the best, the coolest, and the most competitive DevOps shop in Europe, deploying and releasing all our software Cloud Native, Agile and in DevSecOps modes.

Your role

As HR Generalist for the Swisscom DevOps Center you are responsible for operational HR duties. This role will partner up closely with the two HR BP’s and Head of Operations, resulting in building up a powerful HR team. You will implement and help to shape all local and overreaching HR processes and you will form the bridge between the theory and the practice for our DevOps Engineers. You will also support our extended HR team with all HR administrative and HR operational activities and help scaling these activities in the coming years.

What you will do

  • Carry out HR Services and administration and collaborate with HR BP's
  • Includes compliance to local labour laws, implementing changes to employment conditions or staff manual. Maintaining employee records, working time registration, travel requests, sickness reporting, etc.
  • Support with relocation, onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Conduct employee feedback meetings and exit interviews
  • Manage HR ticketing system, provide analysis, generate reports
  • Participate in the implementation of corporate HR initiatives and programs that drive change, employee engagement, diversity and productivity
  • Diagnose and identify areas of improvement and drive appropriate solutions, striking the right balance between speed and processes
  • Contribute to development and implementation of improvement plans and automation project
  • Review, update, and communicate HR policies and processes

Job requirements

  • You are already living in the Netherlands, and have good knowledge of Dutch labour law including employment regulations
  • 2+ years of experience in HR domain
  • Excellent level of proficiency in English, Dutch is a plus
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication, including high-quality document preparation and presentation skills
  • Ability to plan and execute the activities across functions, processes, and teams
  • Self sufficient & start-up mentality with a willingness to enter a situation where the processes have not been established yet
  • Enjoys international environments and able to work in multicultural teams
